“In some Native languages the term for plants translates to “those who take care of us.”― Robin Wall Kimmerer
Uplifting Native
A community project dedicated to restoring native plants, supporting pollinators, and reconnecting urban Native people to the land.

You Are on Native Land
This project supports intertribal Native communities in the Bay Area and throughout California by offering resources, native seeds, and accessible knowledge to reconnect with the land. In urban spaces where access to traditional landscapes is limited, it creates opportunities to practice land stewardship, cultural care, and environmental healing.
All Our Relatives
Did you know there are over 1,600 species of native bees in California? Many of them rely on native plants to survive—but urban development and habitat loss are putting them at risk. Planting native species helps restore vital ecosystems, and supports pollinators.

Planting the Seeds
Anyone can plant a seed—and that simple act can make a real difference. You don’t need to be an expert or have a big yard. Just show up with care. Native plants support bees, butterflies, and birds that are struggling to survive, and they help heal the land we all depend on. By planting and tending to them, you’re helping restore balance, protect biodiversity, and keep our ecosystems thriving.
